The CT3386CA High Capacity Fused Probe Set provides an industry-high 200,000 A (ac) interrupt rated Class CC ceramic fuse with 600V CAT III P2 voltage protection per IEC61010-031. Sized for easy handling with safety gloves, the probe features locking spring-loaded IP2X tip protection shrouds, 2mm (.080") diameter tips for North America receptacle testing, 8-32 UNC threads at the base of the tips for adapters such as extra-large alligator clips, tamper proof fuse holders, and unique internal blown fuse indicator lights. The probe tips are covered by clear plastic insulated sheaths that lock into the closed position. They can only be released by pressing a release lever behind the finger safety guard.

The probe bodies are made of high impact plastic and are sized to be easily handled and operated while wearing insulating safety gloves. Most importantly, the probes feature built in neon indicator lights that will glow when probing live circuits and the fuse is blown or missing thus telling the user the circuit is live even though their instrument is indicating no voltage.

The Class CC fuse provides optimum protection with a current limiting capability and an extremely high interrupting rating. It will cutoff the short-circuit current in less than one-quarter cycle and can withstand fault currents up to 200,000 A without rupturing. For added safety, a special tool is required to open the fuse holder thus eliminating the possibility of accidental opening or tampering.
